Insurance

Beacon Therapy Group is an in-network provider for Aetna Student Health and United Student Health Resources.

Although we are not on any other insurance service panels, services may be covered in part (usually 40%-60%) by your health insurance. We will provide you with a monthly statement to submit to your health insurance provider for reimbursement purposes.

Please check your coverage carefully by contacting your health insurance company and ask the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • Is there a separate deductible for mental health services?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

  • What are the “allowable amounts” for the following procedure codes:

  •       90791 (diagnostic evaluation)

  •       90834 (psychotherapy, 45 minute)

  •       90837 (psychotherapy, 60 minute)?

  • How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement? (Claims are forms are sent to your insurance company to receive reimbursement for sessions you paid for out of pocket.)

Payment

Payment of services is expected at the beginning of each session. You are required to pay for your session in full at the time of service. Credit cards, cash are accepted.

Cancellation Policy

Consistency of sessions is an essential component for effective therapy. Additionally, we reserve your appointment time just for you and do not double book appointments. Accordingly, we do charge for late cancellations and missed appointments (with limited exceptions).

At least 48-hour advanced notice is needed to cancel to avoid missed appointment charges. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged a late cancel fee. If an appointment is missed with no notice a fee of $175 on will be charged.

As soon as you know you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact your clinician  so that they have time to offer this appointment to someone else who needs help. Please plan ahead and prioritize your appointments once scheduled.
