March 18, 2020

To the Clients of Beacon Therapy Group:

I am writing to share that out of an abundance of caution to protect Beacon Therapy Group’s clients and clinicians and the community at large, all Beacon Therapy Group therapy sessions will be provided via our HIPAA compliant telehealth (videoconference) platform effective March 16, 2020 until further notice. We will continue to monitor the rapidly evolving situation and will update our website (www.beacontherapy.org) with all notices. There has been no case of COVID-19 at Beacon Therapy Group, but the switch to telehealth sessions will aid in mitigating the spread of the virus in this critical stage.

We are aware that most universities have switched to virtual classes and companies are encouraging employees to work from home. Given this, some may have decided to return or travel to another state. If you are no longer in Massachusetts, please send an email to your clinician and admin@beacontherapy.org  informing our team that you are no longer in the state. We may need to get additional permissions to provide telehealth sessions.

We recommend that you keep your appointments as scheduled, especially at this time of uncertainty. Your clinician will send you an email with instructions for your telehealth session. When meeting via videoconference, please be in a private area to protect your privacy. You will need to sign a telehealth consent form which your clinician will send this to you via your online account.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation at this sensitive time.

If you have any questions, please contact your clinician directly.

Sincerely,

Elaine R. Espada, PsyD
