How I Can Help:
My philosophy is that our mental health is deeply connected to our physical, social, and societal health. I believe it is important to consider all aspects of our lives, including our environment and our history, when we’re trying to grow through therapy. In the therapy room, I always do my best to see you as a person before I see a “red flag” or a “disorder.” My Narrative Therapy approach means I value being able to see who you are beyond the negative stories that you may hear or believe about yourself, and my Relational Therapy approach means I often emphasize exploring ways that you can find and maintain healthy, loving relationships with others. Though I work collaboratively with my clients to understand what works best for them, some things that I may ask you to do include telling stories, reconnecting with your body, and using expressive methods such as writing, art, movement, or music to help you grow closer to the person you hope to be.
